The Weather Lottery plc
The Weather Lottery plc is a public quoted holding company listed on the Alternative Investment Market (AIM) of the London Stock Exchange. The Company’s shares were admitted to AIM in September 2006.
The principal activities of the Group is that of lottery administrators, online gaming and marketing activities and earns commission via search engine provision. The Group also operates floodlit football astro-turf pitches.
The Group’s main trading activity, “The Weather Lottery”, helps Sporting Clubs, Schools, Charities and Societies to raise funds for special projects and general development by providing all of the service provision to run an exciting lottery each week. The system has been run since 1998 and the number of clients is increasing substantially.
Members of the Lottery get a chance to win up to £25,000 for just £1 per week. Each time the member plays they are helping their club, school, charity or society to raise much-needed funds. The Weather Lottery operates every week.
For example the system raises income for new computers for education, raising the standards of sports facilities, funds for charitable good causes through to society development. In this economic climate it is essential to increase the fund-raising capabilities of all descriptions. This system provides a vehicle for a no-risk administration cash stream to provide that vital increased income.
